Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, David graduated from Memorial High School in 1970 before pursuing his passion for sports, excelling in both basketball and golf. His academic journey led him to Southern Methodist University (SMU), where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in 1975.
David professional career kicked off in the audit and accounting field in both the United States and Europe. However, his true calling emerged when he transitioned into the investment brokerage business in 1978. Armed with a wealth of experience and knowledge, David began founding Huckin Financial Group Inc. in 1981. Over the next four decades, he steered the firm to success as its own broker-dealer.
In a strategic move to enhance the services offered by his firm, David decided to affiliate with United Planners Financial Services, an independent broker-dealer. This transition enabled Huckin Financial Group to provide its clients with a comprehensive range of wealth management and financial planning solutions, solidifying its market position.
Beyond his professional endeavors, David finds fulfillment in his personal life. He is a devoted husband and father of daughters and grandchildren. David enjoys traveling with his family and indulging in his passion for his health-conscious lifestyle.
